Knowledge base
Not much going on, really.My supervisor's taken off on a research leave jolly for 6 weeks, so things in the lab will be quite relaxed. Got a massive tutorial essay to write, which could prove irritating. Mind you, it'll be the first substantial piece of written work I've put in to my PhD so far. Oh, and my SV said I should try to write up my recent experiments for a paper. Guess I'd better do some more careful analysis, just to make sure it's all valid.
Chumley's wrting his PhD proposal as we speak. All very exciting. Making a case for the implementation of an electronic knowledge base for G'n'T peeps. Should be groovy.
Summer school all happening again. August 14 onwards. Seems aeons away. So, I'll move in to the flat I have (nearly) secured on the 1st Aug, have a week or so getting kitted out. Thence to Durham for 3 weeks or so. Should be great. Want it to be now. Now, I say.
Bought a guitar two days ago. Very much want to just be able to pick it up and make it go.
But no.
Learning learning.
And the first song in my book is paperback writer. I don't even want to play that. It annoys me.
Grr.
What I really want now is a hamburger with extra beef.
